Let me draw attention to the stated increase in the next year's council tax (Evening Press, October 15). There has already been a reassessment on this year's council tax with an increase this month.
I note that senior citizens are to have a pension increase of 75p a week next year. The council tax for band C is to go up by £36 minimum and band D by £41 minimum, the groups of most pensioners, this means that the 75p per week is to be robbed of 69p minimum, leaving a 6p increase.
Will Rod Hills and other councillors only take 6p a week increase on salaries and council fees? I think not.
