Regarding wheeled bins for the South Bank area (Evening Press, October 7), I challenge the faceless council spokesman to convince the pensioners and disabled residents that it will be much easier to trundle a full wheeled bin 200 yards along tough, treacherous and unlit back alleys to reduce manual lifting on the part of his team of refuse collectors.
With the advent of winter weather it is quite likely we shall see accidents and upset bins because of the condition of these back alleys.
We residents need to be told what help we can expect with trundling difficulties before the issue of bins is forced on us without consultation.
