York Rugby Union Club will be looking to build on last week's club match win at West Park Bramhope as they go in search of their first away victory of the season in North East One.

They travel to West Yorkshire to face Keighley and are boosted by the return of No 8 Ian Davies. He will add some beef to the pack which competed well at West Park, but at times lacked a physical presence in the back row.

Rob Allen is again at hooker in the absence of Jon McNeish who is unavailable through work commitments. John Matthews, who had a solid game at open side wing-forward last week, retains his place.

Grant Williams, a former York Colt, makes up the back row. Chris Hudson takes the place of Matt Halifax in the second row.

York vice-chairman Stuart Copeland said: "The commitment at training and the work done by the coaching staff is beginning to produce the results. I hope that the disappointing start to the season is now behind us."

Harrogate will be involved in a damage limitation exercise at home to Camberley after Jewson's National League One and Tetley's Bitter Cup defeats at the hands of Preston Grasshoppers in successive weeks.

Several players have declared themselves unavailable, leaving coach Ralph Zoing little choice than to fall back on the experience of former club captain, Jeremy Hopkinson, and Ian Hassall who is named on the left wing.

With Peter Taylor making an early return from a shoulder injury, the RAF lock forward makes a welcome return to the second row along side Ed Norris.

Rhys Morgan has recovered from a virus infection which see Morgan at scrum half in preference to Gareth Drane.

With two defeats and a draw from their four North East division Two games so far, Selby aim to improve their league placing with a win over their visitors, Old Brodleians.

But Selby will miss the Bennett brothers, Charlie and Andrew, who are in Monaco, their places being taken by one of last year's colts, Richard Topping, and 'A' team skipper Robert Webster.

Ian Copperwheat is named at prop in preference to Andrew Pocklington who is named on the bench. Robert Jackson switches from lock to No 8 to give him more back five experience as John Hick is resting an injury.

Ripon, struggling at the foot of NE3, have Roundhegians as visitors. Tony Chapman is named at full back as Jason Bell is unavailable and Chris Warters is on the wing for Richard Pennock who is also unavailable. Ashley Thomas and Phil Staines take over from Neil Whitaker and Jeff Platt at prop and lock respectively.

Malton and Norton, second from the top of Yorkshire League Two, entertain Dinnington Old Boys at The Gannock. Andy Whalley is back on the wing so Dave Webster steps down, and Dave Cooke takes over at wing forward from Adam Newman.

Tim Casey continues as captain of 'Malt' as Aussie Phil Ryan is still on the injured list with a damaged shoulder.

Scarborough field the same side that beat Hessle 15-7 in the Tetley's Bitter Vase last week, but Boro will have to work hard if they are to beat the Castleford side that took York apart in the first round of the NPI Cup.

York RI, with just two league points to their name, need toimprove if they are to hold their heads up in the same division, although they should beat Heath.

With Alex Pride out with a back injury, Hugh Roddon switches from the second row to wing forward while Rod Simms is named at lock forward. Steve Todd is named at fly half for Matthew Yates and John Alexander returns at centre for Paul Betts who is unavailable.

Nestle Rowntree entertain Knaresborough in Yorkshire Five North, Dave Sowray returning to captain the side at No 8 as James Baldwin is working.

Graham Johnson takes the place of Mike Wilkinson at prop as Wilkinson is working.
