Thousands of people across North and East Yorkshire are being given the opportunity to have their say on a dynamic new image for the region.

Yorkshire Forward, together with the Yorkshire Tourist Board, launched the £300,000 project in January to market the region both at home and overseas as a world-class area in which to live, work and do business.

Now they want as many people as possible in Yorkshire and the Humber to make their views known in a major survey to discover what people think are the area's strengths and weaknesses.

Richard Gregory, Yorkshire Forward deputy chairman, said it was important the brand reflected the views of people in the region.

"We have already completed a series of focus groups and interviews with business managers and representatives of the general public both inside and outside the region, and we are now looking to open out our research to a much wider audience," he said.
