Evening Press Reader's Letter
If the City of York Council stopped wasting money on unnecessary road works it could save some cash.
On Tadcaster Road, opposite its junction with St Helen's Road, we had weeks of upheaval to incorporate a cycle track. Not many weeks later the road was up again, this time to swap the siting of the footpath and cycle lane.
Now the road has been dug up yet again - this time to put the old kerb line cycle lane back, exactly as it was at the start - at what cost to ratepayers?
