Evening Press Reader's Letter
Can any Evening Press readers help me? I have been commissioned to write a biography of George Hudson, the so-called Railway King, and one of York's most famous sons. The book will be published in the spring of 2002, but I am starting my research now.
Hudson's influence on York was immense so it is appropriate that the city should feature prominently in my book. I should love to hear from anyone who has any Hudson stories, theories (for he was a man who sharply divided public opinion) or memorabilia - or is even a descendant.
All replies will be treated in confidence. Please contact me at the address below.
