CELEBRITY gardener Charlie Dimmock shared her skills with shoppers when she visited York.
The green-fingered star of TV's Ground Force series was at Asda, Monks Cross, to sign copies of her new book Enjoy Your Garden.
The popular TV celebrity's visit on Saturday was followed by an attempt to host the biggest barbecue in the world. The store teamed up with the chain's 231 sites in an effort to break the world record for the biggest barbie.
The barbecue at the front of the store dished out hundreds of burgers and sausages. Customers bought them for £1 each and all proceeds will go to the children's ward at York District Hospital.
Asda must now wait to see if its attempt at the world record has been successful.
