Start time for the eight lap senior race is 10am from Sheriff Hutton, with the junior title race setting off five minutes later to cover four laps of the testing circuit.

Organiser Richard Welburn has attracted a smaller than hoped for senior field, but the general quality of the competitors is very good. Former VC York man Paul Watson from Heworth, now in Knaresborough RT elite squad colours, heads a six-strong entry from his club including former BCF National Junior Road Race Series winner Richard Heath (Ripon), Ben Patton and Paul Bridgen.

A York Cycleworks team is led by Tockwith's Jon Muir, with in-form Alaister Kay in support, while Ian Holmes heads the promoting club's team.

The only North Yorkshire team in the Junior title race is the four-strong Knaresborough RT squad of Richard Sutcliffe, Andrew Darbyshire, Tom Webber and David Young.
