A YORK man has helped form a new Internet community site specifically for people over the age of 50.

David Bramley, of Ambrose Street, is a co-founder of seniority.co.uk which features more than 35 different sections, from motoring to finance, through to an exclusive feature on the BBC series Castaway 2000, written by the site's very own correspondent from the Hebrides.

Mr Bramley said the main focus of seniority.co.uk was one of interaction.

He said: "The site is unique in that it includes many features which enable community members not only to feedback on the site's content but actually create it - the vast majority of the pages are written by the site's over-50 readership themselves."

Mr Bramley said that, following many months of development, the site has one of the simplest navigation systems available and provides "a sleek and clutter-free environment for visitors to access regularly changed information, interact and have fun online."

He said the aim of the site was to be "by the people, for the people", while its motif was "your scene, your site, your say."
