Born: York, December 8 1979. Local lad who graduated through the club's school of excellence. Joined the Youth Training Scheme in 1996 and turned professional two years later. Made a dramatic senior debut in December 1998 when he came on as substitute against Manchester City and immediately netted the winning goal. Went on to make a number of first team appearances last term and created a good impression. Rarely featured in the first team under Terry Dolan.
