THIS is the mystery York woman who - along with policeman Arthur Swaine - was arrested in connection with an armed robbery but later released without charge.

Justine Heppelwhite, who lives off Fulford Road, is pictured as she went to York police station last night to answer separate allegations understood to relate to possession of cannabis.

She was reported for summons under the York Drug Referral Scheme.

Under this pioneering project, drug users are given the option of registering to be referred to professional help rather than face the summons. If they register within 15 days, the summons is withdrawn.

Justine Heppelwhite and York licensing officer, Arthur Swaine, were arrested in January in connection with an armed robbery at a post office in Burton-in-Lonsdale last September.

North Yorkshire Police said in April that no action was to be taken against either person in connection with that offence.

PC Swaine was served with a summons earlier this week for possession of cannabis, and he is due to appear at Harrogate Magistrates Court later this month.
