WATCHING the back of a bus promises to be more fun than watching the telly this month.
Buses in York are carrying posters 'naming and shaming' streets where residents have failed to buy TV licences.
One already has a poster on the back warning: 'There are three homes in Etty Avenue without a television licence'. Another singles out Barkston Avenue. It could be your street next.
The TV detectors have issued themselves with a licence to spill the beans on the evaders. They're out to put the frighteners on those who think they can get away with not buying a licence by proving they know where they live.
With modern technology, there's nowhere to hide. If you don't want to end up on the back of a bus, you know what to do.
