IT was enough to warm the cockles of a transport planner's heart.
When Liz Crosby and Paul Garbutt rolled up to tie the knot at Burnby Hall register office in Pocklington on Saturday they did so in style.
No convoy of sleek black limos for evening-suited groom, white-lace-clad bride and all their guests.
Instead, Liz, Paul and their wedding guests all turned up in a specially-chartered 1960s double-deck bus - and wearing fancy dress to boot.
The formal, stuffy occasion that was the wedding of the last century is a thing of the past, it seems. Marriage Millennium-style looks like a much more fun affair.
