CONCERN is mounting over the trading practices of Global Vacations. Since revealing on Saturday that the firm's York office was shut without warning, we have received a flood of calls from worried customers of the holiday firm.
For some, their life savings are at stake. They have paid nearly £4,000 for a lifetime of cheap holidays and have yet to see anything for their money.
Our investigations reveal all is not well at Global Vacations. Attempts to find someone at the firm to explain the problems have taken us from York to Manchester to Perth, so far without success. North Yorkshire Fraud Squad are looking into the complaints.
It is to be hoped that officers can make urgent inquiries on behalf of the many worried customers currently left in the dark and out of pocket.
