Manager: Brian Laws
Stadium: Glanford Park
Capacity: 9,183
Last season: Relegated from Division Two (23rd)
Comings and goings
Out: Chris Hope (Gillingham, £250,000), Lee Marshall, Gary Bull (both Grantham, frees) Justin Walker, Richard Logan (both Lincoln, frees), Steve Housham (Barrow, free)
In: Winger Peter Morrison (Bolton, free), midfielder Nigel Pepper (Aberdeen, free), defender Rob Dewhurst (Exeter, free)
One to watch: Groomed at West Ham United's 'academy, Lee Hodges failed to progress to the senior side at Upton Park before being snapped up by Laws for £50,000 12 months ago. Struggled to make an impact but finally getting to grips with lower League football after Christmas. Playing in a free role behinds the front two, is expected to continue his progress this year and when he shines so do the Irons.
Odds: Despite relegation expectancy is still high at Glanford Park. Former York City midfielder Nigel Pepper has been installed as club captain but the loss of key central defender Chris Hope is a massive blow. Laws needs to still strengthen a lightweight looking squad with goalkeeping cover for Tommy Evans a priority but a top seven position remains a target.
