One to watch: Former Spurs striker Ian Stonebridge began last season in stunning form scoring goals for fun and earning regular call-ups to England Under-18s. The teenager was rumoured to be on the verge of an England Under-21 cap when a series of niggling injuries curtailed his season. However, after a summer of rest Stonebridge, tracked by a string of top clubs last year, is back in the swing of things and that bit more stronger, that bit more experienced.

Odds: The Pilgrims are packed with promise and potential and must expect to be pushing for promotion. After two years at the helm manager Kevin Hodges knows he must deliver too. Certainly, the well-balanced squad he has assembled is stronger then last year despite the departure of Chris Hargreaves to Northampton and cautious optimism is sweeping Home Park.
