Manager: Steve McMahon
Stadium: Bloomfield Road
Capacity: 11,295
Last Season: Relegated from Division Two (22nd)
Comings and goings,
Out: Andy Couzens, Barry Shuttleworth, Phil Robinson, David Bardsley, Gary Ablett (all released); midfielder Richard Forsyth (Peterborough, free), defender Paul Beesley (Chester City as assistant player-boss, free)
In: Midfielder Lee Collins (Swindon, free), midfielder Mike Milligan (Norwich, free), right-back Neil Murphy (Liverpool, free).
One to watch: Lee Collins. The 26-year-old tough tackler could have been spawned from the same mould as manager Steve McMahon. The mid-field dynamo takes no prisoners in the heart of the battle and is tipped by McMahon, who signed Collins from Albion Rovers when he was boss of Swindon, to become a big crowd favourite at Bloomfield Road.
Odds: Will expect to be among the play-off contenders at the very least after last season's fall from grace. However, a lack of goal menace remains a concern and much will depend on the return to action of Brett Ormerod. The striker suffered a double broken leg in October last year when he was the Seasiders' top scorer at the time with five goals. If he can show that sort of form again Blackpool could be in with a chance.
