Aislaby United maintained their unbeaten start to the Beckett League season when they entertained Coxwold in a vital first division game.

Coxwold took an early lead through Robby Pearson, but the hosts hit back with a Colin Frank header from a corner after 25 minutes.

Frank scored his second to complete a fine move to put Aislaby ahead and they made it 3-1 when Simon King latched onto a Stu Parker through ball.

Russell Burn narrowed the gap on 48 minutes, but Frank then netted his third and Kenny Temple scored a fine solo goal to give Aislaby a 5-2 lead.

Burn finished the scoring for Coxwold from the spot after Mark Harland handled the ball.

Champions Black Swan, Pickering remain the only first division side with a 100 per cent record, following their 4-0 defeat of Union Rovers.

Promoted Rovers were unbeaten but had seven players missing, and after a tight opening, Black Swan took the lead on 29 minutes through Ben Richardson.

Further goals by youngsters Simon Dale, Richardson and Nick Wilkinson completed the rout.

Slingsby came from behind to beat Thornton-le-Dale 3-1.

The visitors scored on 28 minutes through Richard Swiers, but Carl Biggins equalised with a 25-yard free-kick and Ian Whittaker scored twice to give his side their first win of the campaign.

Kirkbymoorside Reserves and unbeaten Kirkdale United shared the points after a thrilling 2-2 draw.

The Moorsiders took the lead with a Nick Thurlow penalty, but Kirkdale reversed the scoreline through Andy Knowles and Phil Marwood. Nick Hodgson's looping header levelled the scores.

Rosedale and Slingsby played out a goalless draw.

With Gillamoor's home game with Ryedale Sports Club Reserves postponed owing to the state of the pitch, Old Malton Thirds went top of division two by beating Old Red House 10-2 away.

Lee Clayton and Paul Milner both scored hat-tricks while Danny Cooper (2), Shaun Wilford and an own goal also counted. Jonathan Pearson and Jonathan Kendall scored for Old Red House.

Ampleforth moved into second place after a shock two-goal home win over local rivals Duncombe Park thanks to second-half goals by Peter Banos and Kevin Wright.

Westlers United beat Bagby and Balk 4-3 to go third.

Lee Rudd scored twice to give Westlers an early two-goal lead, but the visitors turned it round through Paul Fountain and two Gareth Lambert penalties.

Lee Rudd completed his hat-trick to level the score after 75 minutes, with Westlers' winner coming in the last five minutes through a Adrian Holtby header.

Heslerton Reserves and Pickering Royal Oak notched their first points of the campaign after a thrilling 4-4 draw.

Royal Oak took the lead on six minutes when Sean Dixon's shot was saved by the home keeper only for debutant Matty Firth to follow up and score.

Mark Smith made it two on ten minutes, and Heslerton stormed back with goals by Mark Stead and Simon Wall, Royal Oak netted further goals by Lee Allardice and Shaun Dixon to lead 4-2 at half time.

Heslerton fought back after the break with goals by Wayne Pilmoor and Tony Watson to gain a vital point.
