YORK City chief Terry Dolan revealed this afternoon he has placed striker Barry Conlon on the transfer list.

The former Irish Under-21 international was City's top scorer last season with 11 goals but has been unable to claim a regular place under Dolan.

Following the arrival yesterday of goal poacher Alex Mathie on a free, Dolan was always likely to have to start clearing his decks of forwards.

He currently has nine strikers in his squad and Conlon, a £100,000 purchase from Southend United at the start of last season, joins fellow striker Marc Williams on the list.
