York traffic police are seeking the help of three cyclists, following a chase through the streets of the city.
Police pursued a yellow Astra, which had been reported stolen, for about ten minutes through Acomb and along part of the ring road before the car was abandoned in Lindsay Avenue. Two local youths were arrested and have been questioned at Fulford Road police station.
No-one was hurt in the incident, but a police car and another vehicle were damaged in the chase.
Officers would like to hear from three cyclists who were on Boroughbridge Road when the Astra passed close to them just after 1pm yesterday. They should call York police on 01904 631321.
