THE Archbishop of York has paid a glowing tribute to the generosity of Evening Press readers. Dr David Hope recognised he would not have been in a position to lay the foundation stone at the St Leonard's Hospice extension without your superb fundraising efforts.
This symbolic ceremony demonstrates how far we have come since launching Hospice 2000. The end is in sight.
Dr Hope is confident that the remainder of the money can be raised. With such a remarkable family of readers, we can only agree.
