THE St Leonard's Hospice extension won't be built in a day, but the Romans are coming to lend a hand with the fund-raising.
A group of Leeds students marched through York at the weekend to drum up support from Eboracum Carpediem, a charitable dinner in December at the Royal York Hotel.
The Roman-themed lunch and auction takes place on Sunday, December 3, and will be hosted by Marjorie Cooper of the Antiques Road Show.
Tickets for the event are £25 and anyone wishing to attend the lunch should contact Gill Kennedy at S7 events on 01904 416608.
