York couple George and Ida Bye, ne Brown, have also proved romance is not just for the young. George, 77, and Ida, 84, who were both widowed years ago and never thought they would find love again, walked down the aisle of Acomb Methodist Church to tie the knot after falling for each other on a coach trip to Morecambe.
Ida, wearing a purple suit and matching hat, and George, in a smart dark suit and buttonhole, were showered with confetti by friends and family before they headed for their reception at the Holgate Hill Hotel.
For their honeymoon the pair are taking another coach trip - an Evening Press reader travel holiday to Windermere.
