As the concerned grandparent of two pupils at Wigginton School, I am horrified to learn that a simple matter of giving vaccinations to children has been allowed to be messed up (November 23).

This leaves a number of questions.

Why weren't checks made before the vaccinations were given?

What is the affect of the second vaccination on our children and what evidence is there that it is harmless?

If the vaccine given is "giving them full and lasting cover" why is it necessary to give the booster?

Who knows the answers to these questions?

Why has the booster to be given at "probably York District Hospital"?

This will mean that 590 children, plus parents, will have to travel to an already-busy hospital thereby putting strain on parking and hospital facilities. It will also cost parents bus fares and possibly fees for parking tickets.

Would it not be easier for one car to go to each school as was done initially?

Is it safer to accept that the vaccine has already given "full and lasting cover" or risk giving children a booster?

Our children are at risk.

We need to know answers before subjecting them to a further vaccination.
