Sessions 'A' remain in top position in the York Table Tennis League division one after their 8-2 win over INL 'A.

Andrew Nicholls and Mick Willcockson each won three for Sessions.

Fulford Rd WMC moved into second place after they had a 7-3 win over Coneysthorpe 'B'. John Farmery won all three for Fulford and Graham Hatfield took two. Paul Cresswell continued to improve and won two for Coneysthorpe. Third-placed Bootham CC 'A' beat York RI 'B' with Paul Eastwood playing well for Bootham to win all three for his team.

Poppleton 'B' are beginning to open up a gap in division two.

Dave Rawlings and Mark Hughes were both unbeaten as they swept Nestl Rowntree 'A' aside 7-3. Second-placed INL 'B' were beaten 8-2 by Bootham CC 'C' with Pete Corner winning all three for Bootham, who climbed into third place.

John Elliott's three wins helped York RI 'D' to share the points with Nestl Rowntree 'B' in a 5-5 draw.

Ed Wardman won all three for Fulford Rd WMC 'B' as they beat British Telecom 'B' 6-4.

British Telecom 'B' also lost 6-4 to their 'A' team, whose Dave Norville recorded three victories.

An under-strength Sessions 'B' were no match for British Telecom 'A' going down 7-3. INL 'C' crept away from the relegation zone with an 8-2 win over Poppleton 'C'. Chris Hutchinson was the star for INL, winning all three.

Poppleton 'D' have a slight lead in division three after beating Shepherds 'A' 7-3 with three wins for Matt Ayres. Sessions 'A' kept hold of second place.

Coneysthorpe 'C,' with two wins in a week, moved into fourth. Eddie Prest was on top form when he won all three for Coneysthorpe 'C' against South Bank SC whose Richard Day continued to win games. Rick Gledhill had a good win over Terry Adams 11-21 21-16 22-20.

John Foxton won three in Coneysthorpe's 8-2 win over Terrys.

Richard Day won all three for South Bank but they went down 7-3 to York RI 'E'.

Dom Ainger and Norman Smithson were both unbeaten as York RI 'E' overcame INL 'D' 8-2 to move into the top half of the table.

Poppleton 'E' beat South Bank SC 7-3 with all the Poppleton players each winning two. The best match of the night featured Joanne Somers and Richard Day which Somers won 21-16 19-21 21-19.

Fulford Rd WMC 'C' moved back to the top of division four as Carole Wright had a hand in four wins as they beat Poppleton 'F' 9-1.

York Police went second following two 10-0 wins, they whitewashed both Nestl Rowntree 'C' and York RI 'I'.

Poppleton 'F' beat York RI 'H' 8-2. York RI 'F' beat York RI 'G' 7-3 with Dennis Chapman winning all three for the 'F' team.

York RI 'I' beat York RI 'H' 7-3. Jean Carter played well for the 'H' team to win all three.

CGNU 'A' beat CGNU 'B' 8-2, Adrian Church won all three to keep his 100 per cent record. Paul Webster starred for the 'B' team in winning a couple of matches.
