City of York Under-14 girls had further success in the Yorkshire U14 Hockey League matches played at Selby.
They achieved a very creditable 0-0 draw with a strong Doncaster side, Stef Pearson starring in defence.
After soaking up early pressure, York had chances to win before settling for the point.
Against Almondbury the York girls gained an impressive victory. Sam Yeoman scored the first goal with an athletic effort, before Katherine Burnett added two opportunistic goals following a period of sustained York pressure. York's dominance of the game was fully reflected when Laura Taylor, who had an excellent game in midfield, scored a fourth shortly before the end to wrap up the victory.
Amelia Smalley was the game's best player.
