York City's LDV Vans Trophy first round tie against Darlington tonight has been called off because of a waterlogged pitch.
Referee Trevor Jones deemed the pitch unplayable after a 4pm inspection at Bootham Crescent. The tie had also been postponed last Tuesday, again due to waterlogging.
A new date for the fixture is yet to be confirmed, although it is unlikely that it will now be played before Christmas or even New Year.
