Selby Town hope Shane Forrest will be available from the start as they entertain the world's oldest football club, Sheffield, in the Northern Counties East League premier division.

Forrest was delayed by work commitments prior to last week's disappointing draw at Armthorpe and only arrived in time to take up a place on the bench at the interval.

Defender Andy Hart, who missed out with a calf strain, may return, while Richard Tomlinson, who did play last week, is again in the squad.

In-form Harrogate Railway welcome both Matthew Flynn and Liam Gray back for their trip to Staveley, allowing manager Paul Marshall to keep the same team nucleus that recently won four successive games.

Knee trouble would have ruled both midfielders out of last week's clash with Alfreton Town, but the game itself was called off due to a waterlogged pitch.

Marshall said: "One of the reasons we won four on the run was the fact we had a settled back line and midfield. We lost 1-0 to Ossett Albion (in the West Riding Cup last Thursday) but the performance was excellent and we don't want to tamper with it too much."

Marshall will, however, bring 18-year-old Alex Middleton up from the reserves, putting pressure on the first-team regulars.

"He played for 15 minutes against Tadcaster (in the 5-2 League Cup win last month) but then was ruled out with a viral infection. He's a good young player and competition for places can only improve the team," Marshall said.

Defender Steve Hartley is likely to be out until the new year as he recovers from a hamstring injury.

Goole and Hallam, separated only by goal difference in the top half of the premier division, clash at the Victoria Pleasure Grounds, while in division one Pickering Town will want three points as they entertain Hatfield Main, last season's anchor club.

Following tomorrow's clash, the Pikes face Louth United, who beat leaders Hall Road Rangers last week, and then Winterton, while the tough home North Riding Senior Cup tie against Northallerton Town, abandoned in midweek due to a waterlogged pitch, will pierce that programme on Tuesday (ko 7.45pm).

Boss Jimmy Reid said: "They are all hard games but if we play to our capabilities we can get nine points out of the three league matches and if we do that we'd be first or second and I'd be happy with that."

Club captain Dean McAuley, Jody Chapman and Matt Cressey will all be given a run-out in the reserves at Liversedge as they build up match fitness.

Tadcaster Albion make no changes to the squad that featured in the 2-0 defeat at in-form Borrowash a fortnight ago for their division one basement battle at Rossington Main.

However, boss Wayne Day said: "There might be a shuffle round regarding personnel. It's not that anyone is playing badly, we're just trying to get the right combination.

"We've been creating more chances than any of our opponents but we've had this mental block in front of goal. We're hoping we can start getting the rub of the green."

Nigel Young has seen his five-week suspension upheld after his appeal against his red card during Knaresborough Town's Whitworth Cup match with Beckwith Shaw in October was rejected.

He was sent off for foul and abusive language at a linesman, and his ban will begin tomorrow when Town entertain Rothwell Athletic in the West Yorkshire League. Heath Anderson is also unavailable, so Matthew Buck comes in at left-back.

York RI have snapped up defender Paul Jennings from York Leeper Hare League oufit Wigginton Black Horse. He goes straight into the squad to tackle Pontefract Social Club.

Champions Nestl Rowntree's WYL match with Sandy Lane has been called off because of a waterlogged Mille Crux pitch.

Pickering Town's Under-19s again try to play their Northern Alliance League Cup preliminary round tie with Eccleshill on Sunday. Postponed 11 times, it is scheduled at the Recreation Ground (2pm).
