North Yorkshire police searching for the missing York woman are looking for her mobile phone which they believe could have been stolen from her as her family have received a number of anonymous phone calls.

At Acomb Police Station, Sgt Mike Stubbs, who has been involved in the week-long search for 27-year-old Carli Barry, said they were looking for a Nokia 5146 phone. It has a purple cover bearing a hologram of a dolphin.

Carli, who suffers from ME and was said to be depressed, disappeared from her home in the Holgate Road area of York.

She is described as being 5ft 3in tall, fairly well-built with a rounded pale face. She has red-brown, extremely long hair, usually tied in a plait with two dreadlocks behind each ear.

She was wearing a long olive green fleece jacket with an orange lining, thin green canvas boots, a black hat and carrying a small brown rucksack. She walks with a stick.
