Former England midfield maestro Paul Gascoigne could appear at Bootham Crescent tonight.
Gazza, who has been sidelined for almost two months by a thigh injury, may figure for Everton reserves against Leeds United reserves at York City's home as he steps up his bid to be involved in the weekend's Premiership clash against his first club Newcastle United.
Leeds' defender Gary Kelly has set his sights on a Champions League return against Real Madrid next week whether he plays for the reserves at Bootham Crescent or not.
Kelly has missed Leeds' last seven matches after undergoing surgery for a hernia but he is back in training and, with Danny Mills suspended for the game in Madrid, manager David O'Leary is keen to have Kelly available.
Meanwhile, Leeds' home Premiership derby with Bradford City, postponed on Easter Tuesday because of Euro quarter-final commitments, has been rearranged for Sunday, May 13 (3pm), subject to Premier League approval.
