Derby honours eluded Tadcaster men's 1sts beaten 2-0 at Boston Spa.
In a tight tussle Boston went ahead in the opening ten minutes after a well-worked move down the right flank.
Injury-hit Tadcaster were only kept in the game by goalkeeper Steve Watson and defender Peter Wood.
The visitors improved vastly after the break and should have at least levelled only for Andrew Dowdall to spurn a brace of chances.
Then sloppy defending enabled Spa to double their lead leaving Tadcaster to rue their missed chances.
Even more depleted were Tadcaster 2nds, their trimmed ranks losing 3-0 away to Sheffield Uni-Bank.
Trailing 1-0 at the interval the visitors applied stern pressure after the break, but had two efforts disallowed when they thought they had scored.
The Sheffield hosts then pocketed a brace of goals to put the game beyond the 2nds' reach.
