AN EAST Yorkshire fisherman was swept into dangerous North Sea waters after getting his foot tangled in a fishing net, sparking a helicopter rescue.
Stanley Rogers, 35, from Bridlington, suffered a crushed foot in the incident 30 miles off shore yesterday afternoon, after falling from the Diana.
Colleagues pulled him back on board and called for help. A helicopter was launched from RAF Leconfield and Mr Rogers was taken to Hull Royal Infirmary where he has undergone emergency surgery.
