Transfer-listed Jonathan Greening turned on a great display as England Under-21s beat Finland 4-0 in the European Under-21 Championships at Barnsley last night.
The want-away Manchester United forward, pictured above tussling with Tero Karhu, was at the hub of several fine attacking moves as Howard Wilkinson's youngsters repeatedly cut the Finns defence open.
Scarborough-born Greening, the former York City starlet, earned praise from coach Wilkinson.
"Jonathan Greening did well floating behind the front three and Gareth Barry probably did more running in this game than you do in four at centre-half."
England's scorers were Darius Vassell, skipper John Terry and Shoala Ameobi (2).
