Acomb I's poor form since Christmas continued as they were beaten 1-0 at Hull YPI.

The home side were under intense early pressure but grabbed the lead against the run of play.

Acomb had good chances to draw level with Dave Timmins and Dave Richardson both having shots saved. The Acomb defence worked hard with both Nick Good and Stuart Baxter in good form.

Acomb pushed hard for a second half equaliser but Hull held on to gain the win which should help them gain promotion to Yorkshire League division one, while Acomb should finish fifth.

Tadcaster Ladies booked their place in the final of the Yvonne Horner Cup with a resounding 5-1 home defeat of Leeds.

Leeds took the lead with an own goal from their only break before Tad levelled the scores with an equaliser from Bev Cattle.

Tad went in front when Nicola Willis scored from a penalty corner then Cattle went on to complete a hat-trick and Karey Hooley wrapped up the scoring.

Hooley had been on target the previous day for Tadcaster in their clash with Yorkshire League division four promotion rivals Doncaster III

She scored from a scramble in the 'D' to cancel out the opener by Doncaster, both goals coming in the second half. Tadcaster were unlucky not to grab a winner.

Tadcaster Men's II also managed to salvage a draw after being a goal down against Slazengers IV.

Tadcaster had most of the play, even having a goal disallowed, but the loss of an easy ball in midfield allowed Slazengers to break down the left and score.

Tad's efforts were finally rewarded when R Hill touched in M Stewart's free hit for the equaliser.
