Scarborough's McCain Stadium will host the final of the Scarborough and District Junior Cup between Rosedale and West Pier on Monday night (7pm).

Rosedale's return to Beckett League action saw them win 6-2 at Kirkdale United. Rosedale went 3-0 up with goals from Adam Burkinshaw, David Gillies and Matthew Tyreman before Phil Marwood pulled one back for Kirkdale before half-time.

It was the same story in the second half as John Tindal, Ken Weatherall and Tyreman with his second made it 6-1, Richard Pugh getting a late consolation for Kirkdale.

Black Swan, Pickering need just a point from their last two games to clinch the division one title after beating Kirkbymoorside Reserves 5-2.

They fell behind to an Andrew Wilkinson header but bounced back to race into a 5-1 lead courtesy of goals by Kevin Wilson (penalty), Simon Dale, Tom Bowley, Marc Dobson and Nicky Thurlow.

Phil Butler got Kirkbymoorside's second late in the game.

In the second division Ampleforth were given a scare before beating Pickering Royal Oak 1-0, Peter Taylor scoring the only goal after 50 minutes.

Heslerton Reserves won a five-goal thriller against Ryedale SC Reserves by the odd goal.

Ryedale's Dave McGuigan cancelled out Richard Corner's opener before Mark Stead and Jerry Field put Heslerton into a 3-1 lead.

Ryedale pulled back a late goal when Andy Crawford scored with a header and Steve Ewllis missed a good late chance to equalise.

Second division side Old Malton 3rds beat first division Thornton-le-Dale 2-0 in the second round of the Ryedale Hospital Cup.

Jimmy Baxter and Danny Cooper got a goal in each half to give Malton the win, while goalkeeper Danny Foxton made a couple of outstanding saves.
