A WOMAN was in a stable condition in hospital today after being hit by a train.
The train was travelling from Harrogate to York when it collided with the woman just before 8am yesterday.
The police were called to the scene, on the railway lines underneath the bridge at Bogs Lane, Harrogate, and the woman was taken to Harrogate District Hospital.
A spokesman for North Yorkshire Police said there were no suspicious circumstances.
