Adie Smith, who teams-up with Inn At The Top, North Yorkshire's leading hope in in the Martell Grand National at Aintree on Saturday, can get in the winning vein at Musselburgh tomorrow.

This stylish jockey renews his assocation with My Shenandoah - a gambled-on winner at Market Rasen last time out - in the Hot Toddy Handicap Hurdle.

Backed from 20-1 down to 6-1, the Howard Johnson-trained gelding scooted home by five lengths from Red Ark.

The handicapper has hiked him up the weights as a result of that victory, but now back over a course and distance which has served him well in the past, I fancy My Shenandoah to oblige again.

Smith and Johnson can also hit the target with Big Max in the Port Sefton Handicap Hurdle. The six-year-old seems to go particularly well on this tight circuit.

Tony Dobbin, who will be aboard Listen Timmy in the Grand National, has good prospects on Nap selection Telemoss in the Sair Head Novices' Hurdle.

Nicky Richards' gelding won by seven lengths at Kelso last time and, lightly-raced this season, is open to further improvement.

Charnwood Jack is a hard horse to win with, but a three-month break might well have freshened him sufficiently to work the oracle. With Brian Harding on board, he should not be ignored in the Wee Dram Handicap Hurdle.

On the Flat at Nottingham, Kieren Fallon bids again to notch his first winner in Britain this season.

The three-times champion jockey, who was denied the chance of a fourth title when suffering a serious shoulder injury at Royal Ascot last season, has several mounts tomorrow afternoon.

The Ian Balding-trained Roselyn (3.10) and the fit-from-hurdling Route Sixty Six (5.15) are among Fallon's best chances.

While Bishops Court, Fallon's mount in the Ossington Conditions Stakes, is also worth respect, my vote goes to Kier Park, a potential top-class sprinter sidelined after being a runner-up at Newmarket last May.
