ONLY last Saturday, the Evening Press was extolling the virtues of North Yorkshire country pubs, saying we were blessed with more than our share of the best.
We are biased, of course. So it is nice to have independent confirmation that North Yorkshire boasts the leading venues, care of the Which? Guide To Country Pubs.
As all these pubs are readily accessible by road, there is no reason why we should take the guide's word for it. Tucking into a fantastic meal in a traditional country pub must be the best possible way to help our rural economy.
