Beckett League second division champions Ampleforth reached the Ryedale Hospital Cup semi-finals when they won 3-1 at Slingsby.

They had led 2-0 at half-time and went three up early in the second half.

Peter Wallinger got two of their goals and Peter Banks was their other scorer. Carl Biggins scored for Slingsby five minutes from the end.

Rosedale won 3-1 at Aislaby United to reach the last four of the cup after Aislaby had taken the lead through Simon King following good work by Colin Frank and Danny Lamb.

Matthew Tyreman equalised after half an hour. Eight minutes later John Tindal put Rosedale ahead with an unstoppable shot. Ben Tyreman got Rosedale's third goal two minutes from time.

The draw for the semi-finals is: Sinnington or Old Malton 3rds v Ampleforth, Kirkbymoorside Reserves or Union Rovers v Rosedale.

Black Swan, Pickering, have retained the Beckett League division one championship.

They made sure of the title when they beat Rosedale 5-1 last Thursday and Coxwold 13-1 on Saturday.

Their scorers against Rosedale were Marc Dobson, Richard Robinson, Ben Richardson, Richard Holtby and Steven Sailes. Ian Wards scored for Rosedale with a penalty in the last minute.

Dobson scored five goals against Coxwold, Holtby got a hat-trick, Tom Bowlett netted twice and their was a goal each by Robinson, Richardson and Uyi Ehima. Jason Sargent scored for Coxwold.

Aislaby United are second in the table after beating Union Rovers 2-0 with a goal in each half from Scott Lawson and then substitute Will Emms.

Jamie Whittaker hit a hat-trick as Coxwold enjoyed their first league win of the season with a 4-3 victory away to Kirkbymoorside Reserves. Bobby Pearson was Coxwold's other marksman.

Nick Hodgson, Andrew Wilkinson and Nick Thurlow scored for the Moorsiders.

In division two, Duncombe Park won 1-0 away to Heslerton Reserves thanks to a second half goal by Phil Mason.

Old Malton 3rds had their division two title hopes dented when they lost 3-1 to Ryedale Sports Club Reserves.

Shaun Wilford put Old Malton ahead and Dave McGuigan equalised before the interval. McGuigan and Mike Todd scored in the second half. Old Malton goalkeeper Danny Foxton made several impressive saves.

Old Malton also dropped vital points when held to a 1-1 draw by Westlers United.

Simon Wilford put Old Malton ahead after 70 minutes but Westlers equalised two minutes from time with their 50th league goal of the season.
