Pocklington and Thorpe United will contest the York John Smith's Sunday League Mecca Trophy final on May 13.

Pocklington won their semi-final at Acomb Sports Club 2-0 thanks to goals from Lee Sandback and Richard Millett.

The other semi-final went to extra-time as Bishopthorpe's Andrew Smith saw his two goals negated by strikes for Thorpe by Andy Moore and Paul Ramsay.

Dean Wood then netted the winner to complete Thorpe's fightback.

Hounds moved top of division one after two wins and a defeat.

Nestl Rowntree beat them on Tuesday 3-2 courtesy of goals from Steve Haddon, Matty Wain and Elliott Simpson to strikes from Andy Cygan and an own goal.

However, there was revenge in the reverse fixture when goals from Gary Cygan (3) and Andy Cygan (2) gave Hounds a 5-2 win. In between Hounds beat Acomb WMC 1-0, Gary Cygan again on the mark.

Derwent United scored a 3-0 and 4-1 double over Middleton Celtic after they had earlier lost 2-0 at Yorkshire Herald.

Herald also won 4-0 at Zafs, Ward scoring a hat-trick, but had to be content with a 2-2 draw on Sunday at New Earswick.

Severus WMC enjoyed two midweek wins, beating New Earswick 2-0 then Volunteers 2-1, before losing 4-2 at Wigginton, to goals from Wedge (2), Dickinson and Wash.

Pack of Cards had a mixed week in division two with a 6-1 win over Carlton followed by a 2-1 defeat at Riccall. Marcia took ad-vantage as they won 2-1 at Shipton, thanks to a brace from Purdy, and notched a last-gasp equaliser in a 3-3 draw at Magnet FC.

Both teams look certain for promotion but Marcia have a gain in hand in the quest for the title.

Derwent Arms' run of form continued with a 6-1 demolition of Shipton with goals from Andrew Triffit (2), Anthony Luck (2), Neil Richardson and Mark Triffitt.

Fulford Bay won 5-3 at Jubilee, while Carlton won at Copmanthorpe thanks to goals from Cadywold (2) and Graham Marshall.

Wilberfoss boosted their hopes of avoiding relegation from division three with a 4-3 win at Shape Shop thanks to goals from Jon Parkin (2), Paul Walker and Damien Holden. Shape Shop also lost 3-0 at Selby Olympia.

Blacksmiths Arms' hopes of the title took a blow when they were held to a 2-2 draw at BH Colts.

Beeswing kept their promotion push going in division four with two more wins, 2-0 over Linton on Ouse with goals from Newbold and Rhodes, and 4-1 at Acomb Celtic.

Thorpe continued to make the pace as goals by Cliff and Clamp gave them a 2-0 win at Cygnet.

York Nomads became division five champions with a 5-1 win over Inland Revenue with Cockland (3), Hurst and Siddle the scorers.

Black Bull maintained their push for second place with a 3-0 win over Hemingbrough, who had earlier drawn 2-2 with other promotion hopefuls Copmanthorpe Reserves as well as beating Boy and Barrel 3-1.

Cop also lost 3-1 to goals from O'Loughlin, Page and Dexter giving Heworth hope of beating the drop.

Keystones beat Haxby Lions 2-0 but then lost by the same score to Middleton Celtic Reserves at the weekend. Boy and Barrel bounced back from their midweek defeat to record a 4-3 win over Haxby Lions.

In the big game in division six Volunteer Reserves beat Opticare 2-0 with goals from Mike O'Shaughnessey and Joe Gaughan. They followed that up with a 20-1 thrashing of nine-man Northern Spirit to put the title in their sights.

Opticare bounced back with a 3-0 win at Burnholme SC.

Bottom clubs Wanderers and Beefeater fought out a 3-3 draw.

Shape Shop Reserves lost 4-1 to Burnholme in midweek before trouncing Beefeater 7-1. Cammidge scored for Wanderers in their 2-1 home defeat by Knavesmire.

The next league meeting has been moved from Thursday, April 26 to Monday, April 30 at New Earswick Bowls Club (8pm) as a number of fixtures will be played on April 26.
