Two of the new teams in division ten of the IT Sports York and District Mixed Tennis League have started with two wins out of two, Wistow III heading the table on games difference from Stillington.
Wistow beat Wilberfoss 78-30 with the spoils equally divided between all three couples.
Stillington started with a 62-46 win at Wheldrake and then edged home 58-50 at fellow newcomers Nestl thanks to Jean Doughery and Ian Fletcher who top scored in both fixtures.
Nestl won their first match 59-49 at Wilberfoss with Kerry and Rich Rafton in unstoppable form, winning 31 games.
Wheldrake got their first points after winning 61-47 at Strensall thanks to unbeaten Jenny and Don Grant who top scored.
York have gone to the top of division one after they won 66-42 at Wigginton. York's top pair on the night were Jenny Ashley and Paul Blackett.
Fulford retained their clean sheet with a win at Stillington but were pushed all the way before edging home 58-50. Five of the rubbers were 6-6 with Fulford taking the other four 7-5.
Dunnington II look in the form to return to the higher division at the first attempt after they beat Appleton Roebuck 75-33 in division three, led by Judy McHenry and Kevin Todd with good support from Joyce Rhodes and Anthony Downing.
They followed this with another win at Bishopthorpe 62-46.
Civil Service won their first match, beating Tollerton 58-50, although they could not defeat Tollerton's Wendy Stirk and Nick Thompson.
Poppleton moved into second place with a 55-53 win at Dunnington III, thanks to their unbeaten Ros Walker and Gerry Davision.
Selby top division four after they beat New Earswick 60-48 thanks to unbeaten Debbie Godwin and Francis Milivojercz, who won 25 games.
York and Cawood played out the first draw of the season. York's Carmel Parry and Pete Sutherland were the best pairing of the evening.
Cawood are second after they won 71-37 at home to Wigginton.
Fulford are at the top of division five after beating Sutton-on-Derwent 61-47, led by Katy Hargreaves and Patrick Atkinson.
Rowntree Park picked up their first win against luckless Appleton Roebuck with Nancy Deamer and Richard Masters winning 24 games to top the scoring and remain unbeaten.
Riccall are leading division six after scraping a close encounter at Heworth 57-51.
A final high-scoring round saw Riccall take the points, led by top scorers Sue Shouksmith and Stuart Fryer who won 25 games.
Poppleton gained their first points with a 69-39 win against Bishopthorpe. Their first pair of Dee Robinson and John Manor were unbeaten with 27 games.
Fulford began their division seven programme with two wins, 58-50 at Wigginton and 82-26 at Tadcaster.
Evelyn Atkinson and Martin Evans were Fulford's best pair at Wigginton and Janet Hare with Mark Cook took the honours at Tadcaster, just ahead of Dominique Morrisey and Terry Haw.
Rufforth made it two from two by beating Wistow 57-51.
Division eight has the potential for a close finish as there are only three unbeaten teams.
Riccall lead the way after beating Strensall and Dunnington with Rod Oxtoby topping the scoring in both matches despite having two different partners in Michelle Hall and Judith Bray.
Sutton-on-Derwent opened their season with a win against Civil Services 65-43.
Cawood and Appleton Roebuck shared the points in a match of fluctuating fortunes.
Liz Bramley and Ian Driffilltop scored ahead of Viv Williamson and John Hughes as Bubwith won their first match in division nine against Wigginton 72-36.
Wilberfoss just hung onto their clean sheet with a draw against Cliffe and followed it up with a 60-48 win at Selby to lead at this early stage.
