MR JACKSON (Letters, May 11) has seemingly not bothered to go into even one shop in Micklegate, yet he is still able to conclude the street is 'dying on its feet'.
He should visit the Blake Head record shop and caf, Carton's boulangerie or Spelman's bookshop, among others, where business is brisk and all is very much alive and well; he might then be forced to change his mind.
Dr K Davis,
Mason's Court,
