Saxophonist Snake Davis will hold a free masterclass for the Pied Piper Project in Ryedale, at Brawby village hall near Malton, on Sunday from 11am to 4pm.
Intermediate and advanced brass and wind players should book their places promptly because numbers are very limited for the five-hour session.
Snake will be discussing the art of developing a rich and expressive tone on the saxophone and talking about practice routines.
On a practical level, the masterclass participants will be looking at melodic soloing and at making themselves into a "funky, kicking" brass section for a performance at the Yorkshire Pudding Boat Race at Brawby on Saturday, June 9, at 3pm.
Please note, there will be a rehearsal before the race, from 1pm to 2.30pm.
To book places, ring 01653 668551.
