Police have renewed their appeal for help from the public in their search for an alleged child sex offender who struck over the Bank Holiday weekend.
A six-year-old girl was indecently assaulted by the man at Scalby Manor caravan park, near Scarborough, last Sunday.
After the assault, the man was seen to run off in the direction of the park, but police say they are keeping an "open mind" on that information.
"He could have just been using the park as cover," a spokesman said.
Detective Inspector David Hunt said officers had been at the site continuously since Sunday.
He said: "We strongly need the public's help to catch this man. About 1,000 people were at the site on Sunday. That is a huge number of potential witnesses.
"I need to hear from anyone who saw anything suspicious or is able to identify the man responsible for this shocking assault."
DI Hunt added that he is still "extremely anxious" to speak to an elderly couple who were walking their dog and saw the man running away.
The man has been described as aged between 20 and 30, clean shaven with short ginger or strawberry blond hair. He was wearing a blue fleece jacket and blue jogging bottoms.
Anyone with any information should ring 01723 500300.
