A youth has been arrested and interviewed in connection with an alleged indecent assault near Scarborough.
The alleged assault was carried out on a six-year-old girl at Scalby Manor Caravan Park last Sunday. Police made two appeals for help from the public, before a suspect was picked up in Bradford yesterday.
He was taken back to Scarborough for questioning, before being released on police bail last night.
Detective Inspector David Hunt, of Scarborough CID, said: "Investigations continue. Further fingertip searches were carried out at the scene yesterday. It is a painstaking process."
