Two university doctors from York are swapping the lecture podium for the pedal when they tackle a charity bike ride across Cuba.
Peter Morrall, from Haxby, and Paul Marshall, from Bootham, will cycle 400 kilometres across the Caribbean island in October.
The academics, who both work at Leeds University, aim to raise £4,000 for the National Deaf Children's Society.
They will limber up with a spot of salsa dancing at a Cuba Fun Night in St John's College at 7.30pm on June 16.
