MARK Hill claims that I am not loony enough for the Official Monster Raving Loony Party (Letters, May 29).
My wife has assured me that I am, so have employees of the local bus company who say I must be if I think they will ever reduce their fares to a 20p flat rate for pensioners. Yes, we are there to make fun of politicians and the totally grey manner in which they run the country - hence the increasingly low turnouts for elections.
But no, we have never been there to make fun of the democratic process because it is something we strongly believe in. My plea for public houses to be used as polling stations to encourage voters to get out has not been acted upon yet - but it will. I must finish here as my wax crayon is beginning to crumble.
