THE Hunters Estate Agent York and District Senior Cricket League's senior representative team face the toughest of tests at Osbaldwick tomorrow.
The hosts entertain trophy holders the Bradford League in the first round of the Yorkshire Senior Leagues' Trophy - the top inter-league competition in the county, which has just landed the three-year backing of Costcutter Supermarkets.
Dunnington's former Yorkshire County Cricket Club ace Simon Kellett will skipper the York side backed by club-mates Steve Precious and Paul Miles.
Acomb also provide three players in Dave and Richard Sykes and Andy Tuite, while James Postill (Clifton Alliance), Matthew Till (Sessay) and Steve Jackson from host club Osbaldewick all return to the ranks.
The York side also features a brace of debutants in Craig Shipton, who has turned in several good performances for Whitkirk, and the in-form Paul Clappison, who hammered two tons for Hornsea last week sharing in two unbroken double-century opening stands.
Bradford League champions Pudsey Congs will likely provide three players in the opposition - skipper Matthew Doidge, Andy Bethell and Barbar Butt.
