THE ELDERLY and housebound saw what Labour could deliver when Hugh Bayley joined a Meals on Wheels round.
The election candidate volunteered to tour Clifton with a Women's Royal Voluntary Service round, in support of the work they do.
The WRVS has challenged VIPs to swap pens for pinnies and volunteer for projects.
Mr Bayley said: "I am delighted to join WRVS and highlight the wonderful work of the service and its volunteers.
"In York alone, WRVS supports hospitals, runs a child contact centre, provides a tea bar in the magistrates court , social clubs and its vital Books on Wheels and Meals on Wheels services to members of the community who are elderly or housebound and need extra support."
