A North Yorkshire business has been hailed as Britain's best franchise.
Richard Terry, who operates the Rainbow International franchise on Beckwith Crescent, Harrogate which also covers York, has been named Franchiser of the Year 2001 in the official British Franchise Association awards sponsored by HSBC and a daily national newspaper.
His provision of carpet and upholstery care plus fire and floor restoration to both domestic and commercial markets reflects massive growth for Rainbow which since it began in 1990 has seen turnover rise from £350,000 to nearly £30 million.
